IPFA finalist in 2019 Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Sector Management
The Infrastructure and Project Financing Agency (IPFA) has been recognised as a finalist in the 2019 Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Sector Management, hosted by the Institute of Public Administration Australia.
“Our progression through this awards process is testament to the quality of the people at IPFA, who are dedicated professionals making high-quality contributions to the Australian Public Service,” said IPFA Chief Executive Leilani Frew.
“We’re a small agency with a big impact, having provided independent, whole-of-government commercial and financial advisory services on over $55.7 billion worth of Australian Government infrastructure investments in 2018-19.
“Over the last year alone, we received 100 requests for our commercial and financial advisory services from 11 agencies.”
In addition to the commercial and financial advisory services IPFA provides, it was also established to strengthen the capability of the Commonwealth, recognising that a more sophisticated and expert public service can better support the Australian Government in its infrastructure investment decisions.
“We are committed to enabling commercial excellence in Australian Government infrastructure investment for the benefit of all Australians,” Ms Frew said.
“These achievements are underpinned by open collaboration and strong partnerships with our state and territory counterparts, and the private sector”.
“I’m proud of my team, who are living and breathing our values, and this recognition demonstrates the excellence, integrity, collaboration, client-focused and dynamic nature of our team.”
